About the role

This role will engage across all functions of the firm, including special projects, top of funnel experiments, portfolio engagement, and much more! You’ll be working directly with Charley alongside our other partners at Pathlight. 

We very much view our firm as a startup - the end goal is to back incredible founders building in dynamic markets and we’re obsessed with everything from our top of funnel (aka founders we meet whether it be through inbound channels, outbound, referral loops, field marketing, and much more) to our own internal "products" we offer to our founders. 

We’re particularly interested in individuals with operating experience within a high growth environment to help us continue to build and scale the firm. Backgrounds that could be a great fit could include: 

  • An early engineer who wants to understand more of the business equation behind VC backed businesses and would enjoy building founder facing products 
  • A former founder who wants a rare window into the VC + fundraising side of company building
  • An early solutions engineer with a passion for technology, new business models, and a penchant for learning new things fast 

You might be a good fit if the following describes you:

  • You have a builder mentality and can build / hack things together 
  • You’re a creative thinker, yet also highly analytical and logical 
  • You enjoy writing and pride yourself on thoughtful communication
  • You have the polish and presence to regularly interact with founders, investors, and operators
  • You’re excited about technology and are insatiably curious
  • You have a strong understanding of how businesses work (or desire to proactively learn this) 
  • 1-4 years of experience at a high growth startup or former founder 


This role will provide candidates with a strong foundation to become a founder, operator, or investor, offering an in-depth introduction to venture. We expect this role to be a two-year program.
