Why we need you

As our Chief of Staff, you'll be building the internal infrastructure needed to help hyper-scale this fast growing startup. You’ll be one of the first employees with an opportunity to have an outsized impact.

This role allows you to wear multiple hats and build out different business functions and incubate them. Then you’ll build out a team in the core biz ops area and finance as we scale.

We’re seeking an ambitious, smart, resourceful, and results-oriented generalist to join our team and eventually grow a team and function.

What you’ll do

• Take business objectives, break them down into constituent parts and execute
• Own and manage cross-functional projects and get them to the finish line
• Manage sales reporting and forecasting
• Advise CEO and team on strategic initiatives and new markets (eg partnerships, geographies, new products)
• Work with fractional CFO and accountants to manage finances
• Grow into P&L ownership and build a team as GC AI grows
• Develop and optimize internal processes and systems that scale as we grow
• Oversee HR and accounts payable with the support of back-office operations agencies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing data-driven insights and recommendations
• Prepare materials for investor presentations, and external communications

Who you are

• 5+ years of exceptional operational experience in high-detail, hard working environments e.g. startups, consulting, investment banking, VC, big law, you tell us
• You are data-driven and numbers-oriented. You have foundational training in finance, balance sheets, SQL
• People would describe you as an animal
• Love using AI - you use ChatGPT daily and ideally other more advanced tools.
• Strong SQL, data analysis, and spreadsheet modeling skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Detail-oriented AF. We mean it. You’re uncommonly smart, ace tests, spot typos, move fast, and yet do it in a way that makes others marvel.

It would be nice if you have..

• An MBA or equivalent 
• Experience in legal tech or B2B SaaS

Compensation

$175K + up to 0.25% depending on qualifications and experience
