Role Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead our product strategy and shape the future of our platform as we expand into new markets and geographies. As CPO, you will work closely with our CEO, Wyatt Smith, to define the product roadmap and bring UpSmith's vision to life. You will lead the product function, provide thought leadership on product direction, and serve as a strategic partner in steering company growth.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the product strategy to align with UpSmith's vision of solving the skilled workforce shortage.

- Lead, mentor, and expand the product team, fostering a culture of innovation and user-centric design.

- Collaborate with engineering and other departments to define and prioritize features that add significant value to users—both employers and tradespeople.

- Oversee the development and evolution of our SaaS platform, ensuring it meets market needs and user expectations.

- Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate business needs into product solutions and innovations.

- Drive the integration of new product features that enhance the worker experience, from gamification to mobile-first productivity tools.

- Take ownership of product management best practices and development processes to maintain quality and delivery excellence.

- Represent the company in product discussions with clients, partners, and investors, showcasing UpSmith's platform as a key differentiator.

- Stay up to date on industry trends, continuously exploring new product opportunities that can help strengthen UpSmith's market position.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in a product leadership role such as CPO, VP of Product, or similar.

- Proven experience leading high-performing product teams, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.

- Strong background in developing and scaling SaaS platforms, with a focus on mobile-first, user-centric solutions.

- Solid understanding of workforce productivity tools, gamification, or related product areas.

- Experience working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.

- Ability to manage ambiguity and lead teams through complex projects and strategic pivots.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform product decisions.
