Linktree is looking for a principal UX designer for a couple different teams. The role is in San Francisco or Los Angeles.

As a Principal Designer at Linktree, you will be instrumental in driving design strategies that fuel user engagement and business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and designed to scale. This high-impact role involves leading design projects from concept to launch, optimizing user experiences to drive sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and define the design process for entire user experiences, from inception to launch.
  • Establish and drive design strategies and philosophies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Mentor and guide senior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and seamless user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15–20 years of experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership in innovative projects.
  • Expertise in one core area of design and strong skills in two others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex design concepts and strategies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Origami, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills, including strategic planning and mentorship.
  • Ability to work closely with executive teams and other leadership within the company
