Start selling the role, the vision, the day to day through audio. So you can write everything down. This is completely optional. But one thing that we from customers like Calcom, Linktree, and others, like the VP of design, was able to set the stage.

We are looking for an individual who is intentional about their creative practice and looking to push the boundaries of what is possible on the web. This role doesn’t require coding experience, which would be a bonus.

You can join us at our Toronto HQ or remotely from anywhere worldwide (some overlap with ET hours are required).

What you’ll do:

  • Design compelling and ambitious web experiences alongside motion designers, brand designers, and design engineers.
  • Take ideas from the initial sketch to a shipped site with various stakeholders.
  • Design for the web with responsiveness, performance, and accessibility in mind.
  • Prototype unique interaction paradigms and coordinate with the motion team or design engineers to bring them to life.
  • Collaborate closely with clients through design reviews, async updates, and jam sessions.
  • Coordinate with clients in a self-directed way and pull relevant information, such as pending feedback, brand resources, and content strategy.
  • Experiment with new tools, techniques, and mediums to push the boundaries of interaction design and visual media
  • Coordinate comprehensive QA ticketing with client-side stakeholders, ensuring seamless application of feedback between clients, designers, and developers.

Who you are:

  • You are intentional about your work and deeply care about the quality of the experiences you ship.
  • Have a track record of shipping web experiences that are visible in your portfolio.
  • Strong awareness of the tech ecosystem and the latest visual trends within the community.
  • Experimental in your practice and love to explore new tools and unconventional mediums to communicate their ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal, whether interacting with your team members or a client.
  • Organized in your process and have experience overseeing projects with stakeholders like motion designers and engineers.
  • Strong communication skills: you know how to explain your design decisions and provide feedback to others.


Bonuses:

  • Experience with Webflow and Framer.
  • You know how to code and are familiar with React / Next.js / Tailwind CSS / Framer Motion / GSAP.
  • Understanding of 3D tools and shipping web-native experiences.
