About the role
As the Founding Software Engineer at 123 Baby Box, you will be the cornerstone of our technical team, responsible for building and scaling our platform from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founders to translate our vision into a seamless, user-friendly experience for parents. Your role will involve developing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of our systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of the company, make key architectural decisions, and potentially lead a team as we grow.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in software engineering with a strong background in full-stack development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js, React), Python, or Ruby on Rails; experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud; solid understanding of database design (SQL and NoSQL).
- Startup Mindset: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Leadership: Experience in mentoring or leading small teams is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
