Hi, friend. We are seeking a chief of staff based in the US or Canada to join our team.

You’ll be one of the first employees. This is a high-impact role, working directly with the CEO to help us hyper-scale this company. This role has a path to VP of Operations, GM, or even COO.

About you

Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong quantitative and written communication skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity and uncertainty.
Detail-oriented AF. We mean it. You’re uncommonly smart, ace tests, spot typos, move fast, and yet do it in a way that makes others marvel. You probably have a high GPA from a top school.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
Atypically versatile. Thinks and acts like a CEO. Able to dive into many roles and do them well.
5-8+ years of exceptional operational experience in high-detail, hard-working environments, either academically or professionally, e.g., consulting, investment banking, VC, big law, the military, you tell us
Affinity for and knowledge of startups, growth, scaling, and business - you probably listen to How I Built This, Acquired, This Week in Startups, and other business podcasts for fun.
Nerdy, intellectually curious, and up for a fun ride building this thing!
Software aficionado - you've read and agree with "we don't build saddles here", used Google Docs, Slack, Asana, etc.

Responsibilities

Serving as the right-hand person and ‘extension’ of the CEO, managing internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic insights, and taking ownership of problems that don’t fit anywhere else.
Getting your hands dirty with administrative or even menial tasks as needed whenever the CEO or others need you to. We expect this part of the job to taper over time.
Thriving in uncertain conditions and finding your own path. Within the CEO’s priorities, take on and create projects that will impact the organization.
Pitching the CEO with your ideas to improve both her effectiveness as a leader and her reach and impact.
Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and advisors.
Managing new initiatives, including our CEO’s media schedule, vendors, operations
