About the role

As the Founding Product Designer at our startup, you will set the vision for user experience and design across our digital platforms. You will be pivotal in building our product from the early stages, working closely with engineering and product management to create intuitive, user-centered design solutions in Figma. Your role will blend both UX and visual design to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Figma, including prototyping, components, and real-time collaboration features.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, graphic design, and interface design.
  • Proficiency in creating user flows, wireframes, and highly detailed communication of design principles and direction.
  • Ability to conduct user research and translate user feedback and usability findings into iterative product enhancements.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and mobile UI.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Background in designing for accessibility and inclusive design practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of new features and updates from conception to release in Figma.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to innovate and refine product design.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Conduct and implement user research and usability tests.
  • Mentor team members and potentially build out the design team as the company grows.
