We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product to join our team. This could begin as a part-time role or a full-time role and will be on a contract basis until we find the right fit. The role will allow you to jump into Product Management, Product Design, and Product Marketing arenas in an early-stage hyper-growth startup.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our product offerings and make a significant impact on our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management & design, with a focus on B2B SaaS products and a passion for building products that people love. The candidate should be a self-starter with a "get things done" attitude, ready to lead and lay the foundation of the product organization at Valley.
Being in NYC and willing to work hybrid is a Major PLUS but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute product strategy and roadmap, setting high-level goals for business growth and product success.
- Work closely with the engineering, design, and marketing teams to launch new features and enhancements.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and business opportunities.
- Prioritize product opportunities using criteria and requirements defined during research.
- Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
- Define and analyze metrics to guide product development.
- Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the founders to bring the product vision to life and to our users.
- Lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Experience in product lifecycle management.
- Background in software development and program management is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to details.
- Experience with conversion rate analysis, product-led growth, and usage-based pricing is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI and ML technologies is desirable.
- Experience in a high-growth venture-backed B2B SaaS company
- Strong understanding and appreciation of design principles and the impact of good design.
- Proven ability to ruthlessly prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
