The Lead Product Designer role conceptualises and brings to life an extremely high quality presentation experience to the world. In this role you will be working on the core product and will take end to end responsibility to ship key features that will be used by all of our users.
Core responsibilities of this role β
- Design product experiences that balance vision, craft and meet user needs effectively and delightfully
- Own design problems end to end, from concept through shipping and beyond
- Craft every detail of new product features, including flows, prototypes and pixel-perfect execution.
- Run projects end to end with the founder and engineering team to ship complete experiences
- Create new patterns that are intuitive and evolve our design system intentionally
- Obsess over visual design, motion and experience
- Understand our users and define new opportunities for tools that keep our product on the bleeding edge
- Collaborate with Growth teams to ensure our product solutions are represented effectively
- Contribute to thought leadership and shape the design culture as a senior member of the design team by providing feedback, direction, and support
- Evolve best practices for the design team
In addition to these core responsibilities, as a founding member you will contribute to the learning, development and culture building of the company.
Must have β
- Ability to run end-to-end Product Design - from insight to implementation
- A world-class product taste - an aligned and refined taste of what is good and bad when it comes to software
- Drive a human-centred design process and work autonomously to plan and move work forwards
- High level of visual design and interaction design capability including detailed prototyping and motion
- Systems thinking - the ability to conceptualise solutions and interactions that work as part of a larger system.
- Passionate about storytelling, information design and/or presentation tools
Great to have β
- At least 1-2 years in a renowned software company - especially early in the career
- Have experience in building creation tools
- Experience in the development of product; side projects are a huge plus!
- A developer or have engineering experience
- Have experience building Real Time Collaboration (RTC) in a digital product
- Have strong inclinations towards certain styles but are not ideologically tied to a trend; naturally curious and willing to take a step to learn something you donβt have experience in
