We’re building consumer and enterprise systems at the intersection of e-commerce, fintech, and logistics that will change our relationship with the things we purchase. We’re pre-market, envisioning an entirely new consumer finance paradigm and developing its first version. Note that we’re a distributed team collaborating remotely and meet up in person quarterly.

We’re inviting experienced, frontend engineers with generalist skills to join the core TipTop team. We are looking for an autonomous operator who is a highly motivated self-starter. Are you a seasoned engineer with previous experience in a fast paced, blue sky, startup environment who can solve problems from a blank slate? This is the place.

You Will:

• Collaborate closely with product designers to shape and develop new features for our consumer website.
• Integrate our product seamlessly with various e-commerce providers, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Design and implement internal tools that aid in informed business decision-making.
• Take ownership of front-end codebases, ensuring best practices, maintainability, and high performance.
• Play a vital role in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and code reviews.
• Work in a fast-paced environment to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions on time.

You Have:

• 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining front-end applications.
• Deep expertise with vanilla JS, React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, NextJS, and webpack.
• Experience with Server Side Rendering (SSR) and a strong understanding of optimizations for SEO and performance.
• A solid grasp of full-stack development principles.
• A track record of designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• A keen eye for design, ensuring an exceptional user experience and a meticulous attention to detail.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest in front-end development.

Even Better:

• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS.
• Previous experience working on a marketplace or e-commerce platform.
• Knowledge of or experience with 3D graphics using WebGL.
• Proficiency with advanced JavaScript animation frameworks such as framer motion or react-spring.
