Build long-term relationships with our customers as a Customer Success Manager at TaxGPT. Help shape our customer success strategy, manage relationships with some of the world's largest companies and tax firms, and build strong, lasting client relationships.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their journey.
Renewals & Retention: Proactively manage customer renewals, addressing concerns and ensuring a high retention rate through strategic engagement.
Upsell & Expansion: Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with sales to drive upsell initiatives.
Customer Success Pipeline: Track and manage customer interactions within our CRM, ensuring accurate data and timely follow-ups.
Product Adoption & Training: Conduct onboarding sessions, product demos, and ongoing training to drive customer adoption and satisfaction.
Customer-Focused Strategy & Vision: Build long-term relationships with every customer to ensure our products constantly evolve with their business needs. Collaborate with leadership to define and implement effective strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and continuous improvement of our customer success processes.
Minimum 5 years of customer success or account management experience
Experience working at an early-stage startup
Proven track record of identifying upsell opportunities and driving account expansion
Strong problem-solving and consultative skills to understand and address customer needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent listening skills
Bias for action and strong desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong cross-functional collaborator who can build relationships across the company
AI-native mindset: Approaches problems with an AI-first lens, instinctively seeking ways to leverage automation, agents, and AI tools to improve efficiency, scale, and decision-making
Proficiency with Sales software (e.g., HubSpot, Amplitude, Customer.io).
Experience managing relationships with tax professionals, accounting firms, or within the financial services industry is highly desirable.
Background in Accounting (preferably a CPA or experience working at an accounting firm with a portfolio of clients)
Strong preference for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We will send you a call recording of two customer calls. You will analyze the calls, create a script for a check-in call with an upsell opportunity, and submit a 5-minute Loom video presenting your script. This assignment is designed to assess your ability to engage with customers, address their needs, drive retention, and identify upsell opportunities. This shouldn’t take more than 2 hours.
Step Three: Final Interview (45 Minutes)
We will invite you for a 45-minute interview.
The first 15 to 30 minutes will be about assignment review.
The last 15 minutes will be general Q&A.
Step Four: Founder 1:1 and Final Offer (30 minutes)
