About the role

Full-Time | Remote | Based in Canada
Compensation Package: $250,000 – $300,000 CAD

This is a fully remote role. You’ll collaborate closely with our U.S.-based product and engineering teams, contributing to architectural decisions, writing production-grade code, and scaling our core infrastructure.

Note: Occasional travel to our San Francisco HQ may be requested for team planning, collaboration, or major product milestones.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Architect and build scalable backend and infrastructure systems

  • Write high-quality code across our core stack: Python, Go, and TypeScript

  • Lead and maintain our CI/CD pipelines and broader DevOps practices

  • Optimize build and deployment workflows for reliability and performance

  • Surface and resolve infrastructure and database performance bottlenecks

  • Run sprint planning and standups in collaboration with in-office and remote teams

  • Perform daily code reviews, provide mentorship, and support junior engineers

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders across time zones

You’re Right for This If You:

  • Have scaled systems to serve millions of users with high uptime

  • Bring a strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI

  • Have experience building and optimizing DevOps and deployment pipelines

  • Are comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • Work well in distributed environments and communicate clearly across remote teams

  • Are fluent in Python, Go, and TypeScript

  • Know how to work with both microservices and monoliths

  • Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to team culture and collaboration
