Fishwife is looking for a high energy, highly motivated, and creative person to join the team as Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for delivering the revenue, distribution, and trade funding objectives in their respective geography (East or West) and across channels (Natural, Specialty, Conventional and Foodservice) in accordance with company sales plans and budgets. This individual must be an experienced, motivated, inspired, organized, creative, willing to roll up their sleeves with a strong work ethic. This individual will report to and partner with the Head of Sales to rapidly scale the business.
This is a full-time remote role.
Achieve Fiscal Year Financial Goals
Direct and deliver key financial metrics versus plan within aligned trade spend plan
Account Plan management, contributing to both current year and long-range plan forecasts
Partner with the Head of Sales to develop and execute long-term, thought-leading strategies that help our retail accounts shape the future of the tinned fish category in-store.
Meet customer-specific goals for new product launches, assortment planning, pricing, and merchandising execution.
Drive Fishwife market share within category in their respective geography
Partner cross functionally to effectively engage and leverage resources to achieve business objectives
Broker teams (if any)
Shopper Marketing & Retail Activation teams to build support programs for your customers
eCommerce team on best-in-class content/PDPs for your customer’s websites
Finance team on the Month End Close initiatives
Head of Sales on volume and trade forecasting
Ops team on PO execution; troubleshooting when necessary
Customer Meeting Support:
Minimum quarterly meetings with key buyers
Deepen retailer relationships, building partnership & trust
Monthly Sales Newsletter: Create a one-pager summarizing sales performance and growth initiatives for your assigned accounts.
CAPABILITIES
We’re primarily calling on accounts directly and without brokers. You’lll need to be resourceful, connected and willing to take care of paperwork from soup to nuts: NIFs, Promo contracts, etc. You’ll take this opportunity to negotiate first-hand placement fees, shelf placement, displays and offshelf fixtures to take each retailer partnership to the next level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry
Previously experience working with or at key retailers: Sprouts, Wegmans, Natural Grocers, The Fresh Market

Experience in sales planning, trade management and forecasting
Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and experience working with IRI/Nielsen and/or Retail POS data
Have worked with trade management and demand planning software e.g. Modus
Passion for natural and organic products
Willingness and ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings—approximately 25% of the year.
