We're searching for a curious, energetic and knowledgeable individual to join our ever-growing Brand Protection Team as a Case Assistant.
As a Case Assistant, you'll play a critical role in managing the intake, screening, and processing of copyright claims while ensuring timely responses to counterclaims. This position supports our Brand Protection Team by handling the initial phases of copyright cases and maintaining efficient case management processes.
You will regularly liaise with external SRA-regulated partners who can assist clients with taking unresolved cases of copyright infringement further and assisting with evidence-gathering for such cases.
Screen incoming copyright infringement claims, assessing validity and completeness of documentation, in line with internal procedure
Triage cases based on urgency, complexity and client priority
Process new copyright claims by collecting necessary documentation and information from the client and external sources
Respond to counterclaims, preparing initial drafts for the Head of Service (Brand Protection) and external partners
Maintaining accurate case records and updating case management systems
Communicate with clients regularly regarding case status and additional information needs
Assist with documentation preparation, processing and sending for takedown notices
Conduct preliminary research on potential infringement claims
Support internal and external partners with administrative tasks related to cases
Proficiency with CRM software and tools such as Copilot, Slack, Ringotel and Microsoft 365
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with case management software
Able to handle confidential and privileged information with discretion
Time management skills and capacity to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Knowledge of UK Copyright Law and takedown procedures
Desirably 1-3 years of experience in legal administration, preferably in intellectual property
