Behind every successful sale is invisible infrastructure. Come build ours. Irrational Labs helps top tech companies apply behavioral science to their products and processes. We're looking for a detail-oriented Sales Operations Coordinator to ensure our sales process runs like clockwork.
About the Role
Let's be clear - this is a role for someone who loves making things run smoothly AND wants to be actively involved in the sales process. You'll not only manage our sales infrastructure but also support key client-facing activities. This means building compelling pitch decks, joining discovery calls, and ensuring our sales tools and data work together seamlessly.
What You'll Own
The Daily Engine (50% of time)
- Be the champion of our CRM - keeping it clean, accurate, and actually useful
- Create the reports that tell us how we're really doing - from pipeline to forecasts
- Build a living sales library - create a system where the team always has the latest materials, knows what to use when, and can actually find what they need in under 30 seconds
- Own the contract-to-cash process - develop relationships with procurement teams, master the approval steps at key accounts, and build a reliable system to track every contract's progress
- Keep the handoffs smooth between marketing, sales, and everyone else involved
Client-Facing Activities (30% of time)
- Create and maintain compelling pitch decks and proposals tailored to specific client needs and industries
- Join first discovery calls to take detailed notes and identify key client requirements
- Support the sales team in preparing client-specific materials and follow-up documentation
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop custom solution presentations
- Work with marketing to distribute content strategically to sales prospects and warm contacts
Making Things Better (20% of time)
- Turn our sales data into action plans - identify bottlenecks, test solutions, and measure what works
- Build a sales metrics playbook - figure out not just what to track, but how to actually use those numbers to make decisions
- Create smart shortcuts - develop templates and processes that help the team sell better (not just faster)
- Make our tech stack work harder - connect our tools and automate repetitive tasks so the team can focus on selling
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience in sales operations or similar operational role (e.g., program management, chief of staff)
- Experience with CRM type systems (Pipedrive experience is a plus)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Track record of creating and documenting clear processes
- Experience in client-facing roles and excellent communication skills
- Ability to create compelling presentations and sales materials
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with tech/enterprise procurement processes
- Experience and interest in behavioral science
- Background in consulting or professional services
Why You'll Love It
- Own critical business operations at a growing consultancy
- Work directly with senior leadership
- Full remote work flexibility
- Compensation varies with ($70-95K base, plus bonus potential)
- Health, dental, and vision benefits
What Success Looks Like
Within 3 months, you'll have mastered our current systems and become comfortable supporting client calls and creating pitch materials. By 6 months, you'll have implemented new processes that measurably reduce our sales cycle time and developed a robust library of client-facing materials.
Join us in building the operational foundation that will power our next phase of growth.
