Hi, I'm Alessandro. I want to introduce you to this crucial role at GCI, which is experiencing explosive growth. We're the leading AI tool for in-house lawyers, emphasizing the importance of AI education in workflows. As a content marketing manager, you'll play a key part in educating at the top of the funnel, demonstrating how our tool surpasses others like ChatJPT. You'll create thought leadership, social media content, educational materials, and more. With a focus on teaching proper prompting, an essential skill for lawyers, you'll craft content and lead magnets to engage them. About the role

As our first Content Marketing Manager, you will build the foundation that will power our content machine. This role will be important in building GC AI's brand presence, driving engagement, educating customers and prospects, and supporting our go-to-market initiatives through content that is best-in-class (pun intended - we have the best AI classes!) for in-house counsel. You'll work very directly with the CEO who, ahem, is obsessed with great marketing content that's immediately useful for the company's ICP. 

Why we need you

You'll help educate in-house counsel about AI adoption and prompting skills, while growing brand awareness and narratives around how much better GC AI is than ChatGPT or other status quo tools. Our content quality needs to be so good that it stands out and shows in-house legal teams that adoption of AI can make their teams happier and their lives better, which, well, it does. The company has hundreds of company customers through organic growth and this role will help make it 1000s. 

What you'll do

Thought Leadership:

  • Develop deep understanding of in-house legal department operations, including legal team workflows
  • Create content that shares the power of AI for legal departments 
  • Make our founder and founder-brand shine as a thought leader to in-house legal teams


Social Media Content Development:

  • Craft thought leadership posts highlighting how AI is transforming in-house legal work, featuring real success stories and efficiency gains from GC AI users
  • Create "Day in the Life" content showing how general counsel and legal teams use GC AI to streamline contract review, legal research, and compliance workflows
  • Share bite-sized legal tech tips and best practices, demonstrating GC AI's use cases in legal departments
  • Share product tips and tricks through carousel posts that break down complex features into simple steps


Educational Content:

  • Uplevel our newsletter to be sent 4x a month and become known as the best legal AI newsletter there is
  • Break down legal AI concepts into digestible images and content for legal teams considering technology adoption
  • Share relevant legal technology news and analysis, positioning GC AI as a thought leader in the legal AI space
  • Develop series showcasing GC AI features that solve specific in-house counsel pain points and use cases


Event & Class Promotion:

  • Build excitement for GC AI classes and events through content and speaker spotlights
  • Create “lead magnets” and other appealing content that will create excitement for each class session
  • Share recaps and key takeaways from GC AI prompting classes


Sales Enablement:

  • Partner with sales teams to develop compelling narratives around GC AI's value to legal departments, translating technical capabilities into clear benefits for in-house counsel
  • Create and maintain sales collateral that helps the sales team have meaningful conversations with legal department decision-makers about AI adoption and implementation


You need these qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B content marketing experience, ideally in legal technology or enterprise software
  • Past results in growing traffic, social reach, SEO organic keywords, and brand awareness
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to create and edit high-quality written and visual content (blog posts, videos, graphics)
  • Strong attention to detail


It would be nice if you

  • Are experienced in marketing to lawyers 
  • Are passionate about AI and familiar with using it extensively
  • Have some legal background eg law degree, partner is a lawyer etc


Success in this role means

  • Scaling our reach and engagement across social media, website, and newsletter
  • Growing site traffic to “money pages” such as pricing, demo booking, and trial sign up
  • Increasing SEO traffic and organic keywords
