About the role

As our first Lifecycle & Community Marketing Manager, you will drive customer and community-led initiatives that increase brand awareness, conversion, and word-of-mouth. This role will be metrics and data focused to increase demo bookings and conversion across the sales cycle.

What you'll do

Community Engagement & Growth

  • Make our Slack community of in-house counsel blossom and grow! 
  • Nurture the community with engagement and sharing of thought leadership, content, and helpful AI prompting tips
  • Highlight leaders in the community, in the Slack channel, and by getting as many testimonials as possible (including videos) for the website and on our G2 profile

Strategic Campaign Management

  • Develop targeted audience segmentation strategies specifically for in-house legal teams, creating tailored messaging that resonates with general counsel, legal operations professionals, and corporate attorneys to improve engagement and conversion rates
  • Launch campaigns across email, web, advertising, and content syndication that address the unique challenges and needs of corporate legal departments
  • Leverage deep understanding of GC AI's use cases and in-house counsel workflows to drive conversion to paid enterprise seats


Growth & Distribution

  • Expand distribution beyond owned channels by experimenting with legal in-house channels, including legal technology sites, bar associations, and corporate counsel communities
  • Analyze campaign performance through the lens of the legal buying cycle, delivering actionable insights to marketing and sales leadership on what resonates with in-house legal teams
  • Track key performance metrics focused on the unique customer journey milestones


Marketing Automation & Nurture

  • Create email automation campaigns tailored to each stage of the legal technology adoption journey, including funnel nurture drips, trigger-based communications, and product updates
  • Warm up prospects from various conversion points (classes, events, trial signups, demos) to drive product adoption within legal teams


Product Marketing & Messaging

  • Develop compelling product narratives that communicate GC AI's value proposition to in-house legal teams
  • Create and maintain detailed buyer personas for different segments, including General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, Legal Ops, and corporate legal teams


You need these qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a B2B lifecycle marketing or community role at a technology startup, with ownership of conversion rates and middle/bottom of funnel activation
  • Expert in automations and workflows in HubSpot
  • Strong data and analytics skills
  • Excellent writing skills and an eye for detail
  • Self-starter who can identify the right strategies to grow revenue
  • Customer-first and community focused


It would be nice if you

  • Are experienced in marketing to lawyers 
  • Are passionate about AI and familiar with using it extensively
  • Have managed and grown a community before
