Hey, everyone. Joe Herr here, head of people at 3rdweb. We have an exciting opportunity for a head of design for all 3rdweb products. This role is fun and involves working cross-functionally with various teams and closely with 3rdweb leadership. The role
You will lead and own all product design within the company by working with a small team of product owners and engineers to build excellent developer experiences on thirdweb.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead product design for the entire thirdweb product stack
- Own our overall design philosophy and approach and champion it across the org.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define product direction and user experiences.
- Identify user experience pain points across our user base and develop elegant solutions that meet their needs
- Create and maintain a cohesive style guide and ensure that a consistent design language is applied across the product.
- Develop visual iconography to enrich the experience throughout the product
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm solutions to solve customer challenges, plan new features, and extract learnings from misses
- Communicate with our customers to assist in integrating thirdweb into their application or platform
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in web3, UI/UX best practices, and competitive landscape.
- Mentor and lead a small team of designers across the company; provide feedback and foster a creative and collaborative work environment.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years experience on a product design team for developer-focused applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- In lieu of all the experience, the hunger, drive, grit and determination to figure-it-all-out. (We love these kinds of people!)
- Obsessed with all things web3
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and solve complex UX challenges
- Deep experience with the latest design tools like Figma and a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in designing complex applications
- Executive presence and the ability to collaborate with high level leaders
- Excited about working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment that prioritizes delivering impact and learning over process
- Curious about knowledge outside of your direct expertise and have an appetite for learning
- A self-starter in proposing and carrying out solutions to solve ambiguous user experience problems
- Knowing when and how to make calculated tradeoffs to meet the needs of the customer and business
