We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack + AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with LLM application engineering in production environments and a deep understanding of AI technologies. You will be responsible for enhancing Pam’s capabilities by crafting prompts, integrating them into our JavaScript backend, connecting with various APIs, and performing thorough testing to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Prompt Development: Craft and iteratively improve AI prompts to enhance Pam’s effectiveness from 70% to 99%.
• Backend Integration: Work with our JavaScript backend application to integrate new functionalities and prompts.
• API Integration: Connect Pam with necessary APIs and services like Twilio, AWS Lambda, and others.
• Testing and Evaluation: Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices architecture on AWS.
• AI Tools Utilization: Employ AI development tools and embrace AI methodologies to improve coding efficiency.
• Immediate Productivity: Hit the ground running and be productive from Day 1 in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Continuous Learning: Demonstrate curiosity and proactively learn new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Production Code Experience: Proven experience in writing and deploying production-level code.
• JavaScript Proficiency: Strong skills in backend JavaScript development, including Node.js and frameworks like React.
• LLM Experience: Direct experience with LLM application engineering and a well-rounded knowledge of LLMs.
• AWS Expertise: Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB, and AWS SAM.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases; ability to choose the right database solution based on project needs.
• Testing Skills: Understanding of unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, and when to apply each.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Coachability: Open to feedback and eager to grow professionally.
• AI Integration: Ability to use AI tools for coding and learning within your development workflow.

Preferred Qualifications:

• STT, TTS, V2V Experience: Knowledge of integrating speech technologies into applications.
• Twilio Integration: Experience working with Twilio APIs and services.
• AI Evaluation Tools: Experience writing evaluations (“evals”) for testing AI models or software applications.
• Microservices Design: Proven ability to design and implement microservices architecture.
