Structural Engineer - Cold-Formed – Florida Remote - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details
  • Design structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing and structural steel for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide
  • Prepare Structural calculations and design drawings for submittal
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Structural Engineer - Cold-Formed – Florida Remote - Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and five (5) or more years of experience in the structural design of cold-formed steel building projects.
  • Knowledge of cold-formed steel design and light steel framing
  • Knowledge of AISI standards for cold-formed steel framing projects
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) registration is required
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products; and working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD programs
  • Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer and RISA
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • This is a remote position, must reside in Florida to be considered.
  • Applicable U.S. based work experience.
