About the role

We are seeking a results driven leader to join our team as the Director of Growth. As the Director of Growth, you will report directly to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the growth and marketing strategy for our business. This role demands a highly analytical, strategic thinker, and marketing expert who can drive significant and efficient growth for our business. You will be responsible for overseeing all marketing channels and tactics, with a primary focus on finding creative and efficient ways to expand our user base and drive revenue growth. We are an early stage company so the ideal candidate will be as eager to think big and develop innovative strategies as they are to dig in and implement those strategies. Key responsibilities for this role include:


Develop and Execute Growth Strategies:

  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Design and implement data-driven marketing strategies to efficiently acquire and retain customers.
  • Develop campaigns and strategies that resonate with our target customer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align growth initiatives with overall business objectives.


Channel Management:

  • Oversee all marketing channels, including but not limited to paid acquisition channels, organic social media, owned channels (email, push, SMS), and influencer marketing.
  • Develop the test and learn agenda for each channel, building out initial tactics and strategies.
  • Optimize channel performance through continuous testing, experimentation, and data analysis.


User Acquisition:

  • Lead efforts to acquire new users through targeted and efficient marketing campaigns.
  • Implement and refine user acquisition strategies to maximize ROI and scale customer acquisition.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Establish growth KPIs, track performance metrics, and generate regular reports for key stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.


Budget Management:

  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to achieve maximum impact and efficiency.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness across all marketing channels while achieving growth targets.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience driving growth for consumer apps is a strong plus.
  • Strong "jack/jane of all trades" mentality with a growth-focused approach.
  • Ability to strategize at a high level while also diving deep into tactical execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to optimize strategies and drive performance.
  • Deep knowledge of various marketing channels and tactics, with a track record of successful scaling.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative growth and marketing strategies.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
